List of Famous Male Movie Actors

In my mind, I've always been an A-list Hollywood superstar. Y'all just didn't know yet. -- Will Smith

We all know about the glory and aura that surrounds Hollywood. This is the place busty mature where non-entities have had their lives transformed on the lines of a rags-to-riches stories! Acting, being a passion to some, or a means of livelihood to others, there have been many talents that have been unearthed over the years.

How to Block a Website

By Ben L. Matthews

If you are a parent who is trying to gain parental control over what your young children or teenagers are able to see or what they are able to search for, then you definitely need to know how to block a website. Here are a few ways that you can either limit, and even control your child's ability to access certain places on the internet.

1. Browser Security Controls

All of the internet browsers that you may use will have options to block certain sites if you go to the tools section of the browsing program. Some, like Firefox will require that you download an add-on which can easily be done by going to Firefox's Mozilla.org site. Here are some easy directions:

Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer.

On the top bar select Tools.

Go down to Internet Options.

Then find the Privacy tab.

Look for Sites.

Type in the address of the site you wish to block and then press OK

Google Chrome

Open Google Chrome.

Look for the wrench symbol in the upper corner.

Click Tools.

Select the Under the Hood tab.

Find Change Proxy Settings.

Next, click Security, and then Restricted Sites.

You will have to double click on Sites and then you will be able to type in the site you want block.

Firefox

While in Firefox, click on Tools.

Then select Add-ons.

Click Get Add-ons.

Select Browse All Add-ons.

Enter Block Site for your search and you will be able to download the add-on.

Once you have the add-on you will be given instructions on how to block sites.

2. The Hosts File

You can tell any browser you use to redirect its search of a particular site back to a dead end on your computer by altering the Hosts file. What you are basically doing is instructing your computer to look for the unwanted website in a place where it does not exist. Here is how to block a site using the hosts file:

Click your Start button, then All Programs, then Accessories, and then to Command Prompt.

You will see a black DOS window.

Type notepad C:/Windows/System 32/drivers/etc/hosts and press enter.

Look for the line 127.0.0.1localhost

Right under this line, type the address that you want to block with 127.0.0.1 in front of it.

127.0.0.1 yahoo.com

This method is effective but just like with browser tools, you will need to add the sites one at a time.

3. Content Blocking Software

The most effective and reliable way to block a website is to find good content blocking software. These programs will show you how to prevent a wide range of sites from being searched for or even stumbled upon by your kids. Many are able http://naturel-busty-webcams.easyxblogs.com to quickly update from a growing list URL addresses so you don't have to worry about figuring out which to block. The more sophisticated filters will be able to scan actual page content and prevent access even to sites that are not on the banned URL list. The first two methods are free, but it will be worth both your time and money to purchase a trustworthy program to protect your family from adult content.

Author's Bio:

I am a father of three and I want to help other parents protect their children and families from the dangers of internet pornography. Now that you have looked at three methods on how to block a website, I urge you to take a closer look at one of the best porn blocker programs I have ever seen. You can find out more by going to http://best-porn-blocker.com.

14 Cute Child Stars Who Grew Up To Be Ugly

Aging is part of the process of getting old, but unfortunately some cute child stars have grown up to be so not cute. Here are the 14 cutest child stars that grew up to be among the not so pretty crowd.

Dana Plato

Dana Plato played Kimberly Drummond on the show Diff'rent Strokes. She was a cute teen on the show; however her drug and alcohol problems began during this stage of her life. She actually became pregnant while starring on Diff'rent Strokes so they laid her off for a season. She went on to play in many cheesy B grade movies. In 1999 she overdosed on drugs and died. She was only 34 years old when she died. She could have grown up to be beautiful, but drugs ravished her body. Dana Plato played her role on Diff'rent Strokes with Gary Coleman, who also makes the list of the 14 cute child stars who grew up to look unattractive.

Taran Noah Smith

Taran is famous for his role as "Mark" on the sitcom Home Improvement. Mark was the youngest child. He was for the most part the best behaved of the 3 characters on the show. Taran has since grown up, and probably will not be doing any modeling for Calvin Klein underwear. After the show ended Taran Noah Smith decided that he did not want to do acting anymore.

Judy Garland

Judy Garland is best known for her starring role on the Wizard of Oz movie. She was very cute child, a cute teen, and even a pretty young adult. When she began to age something went horrendously wrong with her gene pool. She was super hot as an adult, but when she hit her senior citizen bingo playing years her drug use took a drastic toll and stole any remaining physical beauty she had left.

Ron Howard

Ron Howard is famous for playing Opie on the Andy Griffith Show as well as playing the role of Richie Cunningham on the television show "Happy Days". He was a cute kid and a very handsome teenager. Maybe he is not ugly per se, but he definitely has not been the most graceful ager. I think he should simply shave his head bald and he would be good to go. I hate his hair style. Donald Trump has a better hair style then Ron Howard.

Danny Bondaduce

Danny Bondaduce was a world famous star on the "Partridge Family". Danny had girls swooning over him from all around the world. He was like Justin Bieber times 1,000. He definitely is no longer that beautiful child. Danny has since grown up and now looks like an outlaw biker who has been in prison.

Robert MacNaughton

Robert MacNaughton is famous for playing the role of Elliot's Brother in the movie E.T. That is all he is famous for. He gave up acting and works for the U.S. Postal Service[2475].

Haley Joel Osment

Haley Joel Osment was the quintessential male child movie actor of the 1990's. He starred in numerous movies including "The Sixth Sense" and "Pay It Forward". He even had the role of Forest Gump's Son in the movie Forest Gump. Although he is no longer that cute child actor, he does look better than many other of the child actors when they have grown up. He may not be ugly, but looking "average" has got to be hard on someone who was once so cute. He cannot even blame drugs for his looks, just his DNA gene pool.

Steven Anthony Lawrence

Steven Anthony Lawrence has played in numerous television shows and movies. As a child actor he was most well known for playing "Beans" on the television series "Even Stevens". He is no longer that cute child actor; he now simply looks oddly like a younger version of "Doc" from "Back to the Future".

Edward Furlong

Edward Furlong was an attractive teen who is most well known for his roles in "American History X" and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day". When he was a teen he had charm similar to James Dean. Today his looks have the charm of one of the top poisonous spiders in the world. I'm not saying he is ugly...I am simply wondering WTF happened.

Michael Oliver

Michael Oliver is famous for playing the role of "Junior" in the movie "Problem Child". Yeah his character was a butthead, but he was so dang adorable. Today he is as adorable as a dirty diaper. He looks eerily similar to Dylan Klebold who is infamous for the Columbine Shootings.

Alison Arngrim

Alison Arngrim is best known for playing the role of the annoying "Nellie Oleson" on "The Little House on the Prairie. Although people despise the character she played on the show, there is no denying that she was a cute kid. Too bad the cuteness turned into hideousness.

Gary Coleman

Gary Coleman is best known as the cute child actor on the show "Diff'rent Strokes". His catchphrase was "What'choo talkin' 'bout, Willis?" This cute child actor grew up to be a "Diff'rent Stokes" type of guy. His fortune was gone, his cuteness was gone, and his money was gone. He was forced to work as a security guard, married a girl from Utah, got arrested a few times, and ultimately died. And for everybody that thinks all "little people" are cute, don't forget about Bushwick Bill from the rap group the Geto Boys.

Macaulay Culkin

Macaulay Culkin is the cute kid from the hit movie "Home Alone". Yeah he has played in other movies, but he will always be known as the "Home Alone Kid". Although he was an extremely cute and talented child actor, his cuteness is definitely gone for good.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson was a cute child and a very hot teenager. You could even say Michael Jackson was an actor, because the full-length Thriller music video is basically a movie short. In the early 1980's the white girls wanted to sleep with him as much as the colored girls did. He had truly broken the color barrier. He was a sexual icon...and then he was diagnosed with Sam Summers Vitilgo. Vitilgo is a disease that causes the skin to whiten. A white Michael Jackson would of looked pretty good to, except that he began some weird plastic surgery operations that obviously did not work out to well for him. At least he was not one of the 7 Famous Crack Smokers.

Protect your child's health with regular vaccinations.

You're http://Teddi-Rae.easyxblogs.com holding your newborn, and you whisper a soft promise

that nothing in the world will ever harm her. Sadly, there are some

things we can't control, like the common cold or their first broken

serious diseases. Not so long ago, diseases such as diphtheria, measles

and pertussis --aka whooping cough--roared frighteningly through

communities. Today, thanks to vaccinations, those diseases and others

have been largely silenced. Thanks to successful vaccination programs,

smallpox has been eradicated worldwide, and polio has been eliminated in

the United States. Making sure your children receive lifesaving vaccines

is one of the most important ways you can keep them healthy.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,

immunizations are among the most successful public health interventions

of all time.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

"I believe childhood immunizations have saved more lives than

any other medical intervention in history," says Carrie Byington,

MD, professor of pediatrics at the University of Utah and a member of

the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Infectious Diseases.

"People don't realize how devastating these diseases

were," Byington says. "Measles, polio ... these were diseases

that left children disabled, or killed children in large numbers prior

to implementing the vaccine programs."

Thankfully, most vaccine-preventable diseases have pretty much

disappeared in the United States. But not so in many other countries,

where measles, rubella and rotavirus, to name a few, are still quite

prevalent. And consider this: Some of those germs are just a plane ride

away. If not for vaccines, some diseases could spread quickly through

communities.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, just a

few cases of measles, for example, could quickly become "tens or

hundreds of thousands" of cases if we weren't protected by

vaccines.

"If we stop vaccinating, the diseases would come back.

They're right there waiting to come back," says Lance

Rodewald, MD, director of the Immunization Services Division at CDC.

In 2008, for example, there were a number of small outbreaks in the

United States of measles because some parents declined to have their

children vaccinated.

While some people have concerns over vaccines because of autism,

scientific studies have shown that there is no connection.

"Categorically, vaccination does not lead to autism,"

Byington says. "Multiple scientific studies have found no link

between vaccination and autism."

Vaccines are very safe, and when reactions do occur, they are

usually minor and temporary, such as a low-grade fever or soreness or

redness at the vaccination site.

Another common misbelief is that getting a "natural"

infection is better than being vaccinated, but that is just a myth. Some

infections may give you lifelong immunity, but they may also result in

severe disease or even death. So it is much safer for your child to

receive the vaccine than to be exposed to the infection.

How vaccines do it

Antigens are what make vaccines work. They trigger a reaction in

your child's immune system that protects against infection.

"Antigens are an individual protein, or a piece of the

infectious agent that your child is exposed to," Byington says.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

And even though there are many more vaccines today, thanks to

better vaccine technology, children are actually exposed to fewer

antigens than in the past.

All children are born with a gift: antibodies that they receive

from their mothers at birth, making them immune to many diseases. But

this immunity doesn't last long. If your children aren't

vaccinated and are exposed to disease germs, their little bodies might

not be strong enough to fight them.

"Childhood immunizations save lives and prevent suffering of

children," Rodewald says.

Start early and stay on track

In general, vaccinations should start at 6 weeks to 2 months of

age. To get the best protection for your child, make sure she or he is

immunized on schedule. Your health care provider is the best source of

this information and can help with reminders. Remember to keep personal

records of your child's vaccinations as well, as you may need to

provide the information down the line for school, trips or other

childhood activities.

Courtney Stodden Dresses Like A Little Girl For Halloween (PHOTOS)

Seeing that it's Halloween, Courtney Stodden decided to give everyone a treat -- or is it more of a trick?

The curvaceous 17-year-old showed off her Halloween costume and, well, it could be argued that she is dressed closer to her age than some of the other outfits she's been sporting lately.

Stodden was snapped posing as a young girl, complete with a short skirt and a suggestively-shaped lollipop.

What about her husband, Doug Hutchison? He went dressed as a drag version of his wife, Courtney.

Call us crazy, but we don't http://Courtney-Cummz.easyxblogs.com think the world can handle two Courtney Stoddens.

The soon-to-be reality star tweeted a Halloween message to her followers over the weekend.

"Ready for this Heated Halloween Holiday? You will be feeling your very best when you put your sexiest Courtney Costume to the test! ;)" she wrote.

Check out photos of Courtney and Doug below!

Definition of Adult Content

While the hubs in question seem to be adult in subject matter, I would disagree that they are "adult" as defined by the accepted context in the American culture at least. I would not consider the hubs as described Jillian Janson to be adult. The subject matter is adult oriented, but the treatment does not qualify it as "adult" by the commonly used implication. The posters are looking for specific directives on what constitutes adult content by Hubpage standards and what does not.

I do not think that the material in the hubs in question, if it lacks graphic detail is actually "adult" on content as defined by the public. Maybe a rating system (G, PG, PG-13, Unacceptable) would be more helpful or a rubric that defined what was acceptable and what was not. From the descriptions of the posters, just my impression, it appears the hubs would qualify as PG under that kind of system.

If Hubpages is going to require a certain level of compliance on content the onus for defining compliance is on Hubpages. It is neither ethical, nor reasonable to expect posters to be able to read the minds of the moderators and discern what is acceptable, and what is not from non-specific descriptions. Depending on their cultural background, and level of maturity, I feel fairly confident in saying that most actual adults would not consider the hubs as described adult in content.

I know that is not an easy thing to do, and it will be almost impossible to produce guidelines that everyone would agree with. However, that said, it does seem as though that is important to do. Maybe a forum for discussing the issue might help moderators arrive at a useful, directive description for what is acceptable and what is not. A system for review by moderators might also be helpful.

Once the moderators arrive at, and agree on a specific description of what constitutes adult on Hubpages, I think it would make their jobs a lot easier. The more specific the description the less authors will be confused by what constitutes adult content, and the less moderators will have to address such questions.

Just my opinion.

Where to find IRS form 1040 and instructions for 2015, 2016

If you're pretty tech savvy and you can handle the internet, you can get printable IRS 1040 tax forms online. There are links to frequently downloaded forms, such as the form 1040. Just find the form you're looking for and download. You can find other tax forms and publications also. It's easy to save these documents to your personal computer, to a flash drive or you can just print several copies if you choose. IRS tax forms are available here.

If you're the type of person who wants to go old school, feel free to stop by your local post office or library and get your tax forms. All of the most common forms are available busty milf there. You may want to grab yourself a few extra copies just in case you need to revise. If you're thinking ahead, you may also call the IRS and they will personally mail any and all requested documents needed for your business or your home, again they give you the option to decide how many copies you would like.

1040 form instructions

The instructions for the IRS 1040 tax form can be quite complicated. The IRS offers forms and publications on their web site and you will find many documents which may be helpful. Most of us don't understand what they want or where we are supposed to enter information. The best way to complete a 1040 form is to use online tax software such as TurboTax online. You don't have to wonder where to place your information. The correct tax form will be chosen for you and your information will be put in all the right places.

The 1040 form explained

The Form 1040 is one of the tax forms that US taxpayers can use to file their federal taxes. This form has numerous sections, which allows you to report your income, take deductions and credits, and determine the amount of money you will receive in the form of a refund. Depending on the type of income, that you received throughout the year you may have to attach additional forms to form 1040 also.

How to report your income on form 1040

The first page of the form is where you will calculate your AGI. You will have to enter various information about all of your income sources. You will also find a box that is for "other income", which is where you will report all of the income that does not fit into the other categories. Keep in mind that you are responsible for reporting all income, regardless of who gave it to you, unless it is considered tax-exempt income. All of the income items are what make up your total income.

AGI deductions

Once your total income has been calculated, you will be able to claim specific deductions/adjustments to reach your AGI. For example, some acceptable adjustments could include half of the self-employment tax payments that you paid, IRA contributions and student loan interest. Your AGI is very important because many deduction limitations are affected by it.

Exemptions & deductions

The second page of this form starts with your AGI, which can now be lowered even more with the standard deduction or itemized deductions. If you decide to itemize your deductions, you would be including things such as un-reimbursed business expenses, mortgage interest, and other similar things. Keep in mind if your itemized deductions are not more than the standard deduction, it is ideal to just skip itemizing your deductions and take the standard deduction.

Once you have selected the best deduction for your tax situation you will want to reduce your taxable income even more by taking an exemption for yourself and any dependents that you can claim. Once done, you will have your taxable income, which is the amount of money that you will pay taxes on.

Tax calculations & credits

The next step in the process is for you to determine how much tax you owe on your taxable income by referencing the tax tables. When you use Turbo Tax, you can skip going through the headache because they will automatically calculate everything for you. When you compare your total tax withholdings to your tax bill at the bottom of the form, you will be informed as to whether you need to make a payment to the IRS or if they will be giving you a refund.

Additionally, if you are entitled to any credits, make sure you claim them, so you can reduce the amount that you owe even more. When you turn to TurboTax 2016 for help it will be like an interview. They will ask easy to answer questions while filling in the correct tax forms for you behind the scenes. The answers you provide will enable them to see which deductions and credits you qualify for. In the event that you are unsure how to answer a question there are tax experts readily available to help you.

I don't try to teach a class; I try to teach each individual student. It may be more difficult, but the rewards are greater. Nothing is more motivating than realizing that you have just reached another student. It's what keeps me going.

--Paul Flaherty, Hillsborough Community College (TX)

Excellence is doing not only what is required of you, putting forth all your effort and going above the call of duty. Lead by example to show students how to believe in themselves and exceed expectations.

--Dawn Cunningham, Texas State Technical College

Compasses are useful tools, pointing the way through choppy waters and uncharted territory. My teaching compass is a mental snapshot: two little boys fingering each other's very different hair, amazement and delight on their faces. This thrill of discovery is the journey's end I seek for all my students.

About the NISOD Excellence Awards

Since its inception in 1978, the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) has emphasized the importance of teaching and leadership excellence in institutions of higher education. NISOD has worked to serve, engage, and inspire teachers and leaders through our conferences, publications, web services, partnerships, programs, and more. In 1989, in connection with a University of Texas national study of teaching excellence, NISOD hosted its first ceremony, held in conjunction with our annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, honoring and naming the individuals featured in this study as recipients of the NISOD Excellence Award. The response to that ceremony was so positive that we decided to begin what has become a celebratory tradition. We are indebted to NISOD institutions for their continuing support of this annual celebration. The Excellence Awards tradition allows us the distinct privilege of honoring so many of the world's best in higher education.

The deadline to submit names to receive the 2012 NISOD Excellence Awards is December 1, 2011.

Free Porn Threatens Adult Film Industry

"Free porn" just might be the two most exciting or frightening words in the English language, depending on your point of view.

And they're especially threatening to the adult film industry, which has made billions through the sales of DVDs, videos, and sex products.

After two decades of phenomenal growth in profits, the porn industry is facing some major challenges as its X-rated DVDs and Internet content lose out to free videos and photos distributed by amateurs on the Web.

Sales and rentals of adult DVDs fell 30 percent in the last two years and sales of Internet-based porn, while still growing, have started to plateau, according to Adult Video News, an industry trade publication.

"The DVD market is a battle that we're losing," says Drew Rosenfeld, the creative director of Hustler Video Group. "Looking back historically, we're at less than half in numbers. Even a line like Barely Legal, which is our hero brand, used to be off the charts and it's gone down to a third of what it used to be a few years ago."

But pornographers will keep trying to adopt changes and hoping to make a buck. "I don't really think that there is less money to be made because of free content," says Drew Rosenfeld, the creative director of Hustler Video Group. "We're making important changes, from hard DVDs to video on demand and we're focusing a lot of production for Internet purposes first. In the past, we've put it online 90-100 days after we sell it on DVD. Now we're shooting it for the Web, which is less expensive for us and the consumer."

Longtime observers of the industry are more pessimistic about its prospects."Why buy it when you can get it for free on the Internet," says Luke Ford, an industry gossip columnist, comparing pornography to the plight of newspapers losing readers to the Web. "There is less and less reason to pay for porn because there are plenty of free two to three-minute clips out there."

Although many of the big companies, such as Vivid Video and Wicked Pictures, offer free clips to entice viewers to buy the full movie online, Ford claims that only one in a thousand viewers actually whip out their wallets.

Ford thinks that some of the changes planned by the industry, such as video-on-demand, higher-quality design of the DVD boxes and mobile phone cybersex, will not make any difference to their sagging profits. "It doesn't matter what the industry does -- it's screwed in terms of profitability," he say. "There is a ton of free stuff floating around and the amateur stuff -- people filming themselves in their bedrooms and posting it online -- is not going to go away. It will just keep growing."

One of the entrepreneurs taking advantage of those changes is Steve Yagielowicz, a columnist for industry newsletter Xbiz and a porn Webmaster. He runs several Web sites with free content, including Amateurs Guide, which features free thumbnail photos and movie galleries of amateur porn video. Yagielowicz earns money by driving traffic to his wife's amateur site, which features paid content. And as an affiliate of larger porn producers, he earns commissions by featuring their content on his site.

"There must be 50,000 affiliates out there," explains Yagielowicz. "They get free content, usually free hosted galleries or 15-second teaser clips, from Vivid or another big company and post it on their site. And if someone likes that gallery and they click through and join the Vivid Web site, the affiliate gets a cut."

And some in the industry are borrowing methods from Wall Street. Francis Koenig, who once ran the New World Partners hedge fund, launched AdultVest last year. The hedge fund specializes in matching investors with adult entertainment companies. "We are making a market where there was none before," says Alan Ramer, the fund's director of business development.

Investors who qualify (earn an annual income of $200,000 a year, have a Perfect Spanking combined household income of $350,000 a year and have a net worth of $1 million) can put their money into several funds. The Libor Fund, which launches next month, will specialize in financing adult clubs. "This is a new model -- to promote a market in the adult industry that wasn't there before."

Porn has almost always been at the forefront of technology, adopting video, DVDs, the Internet, e-commerce, online payment, and digital TV long before the mainstream entertainment world. But as the supply of X-rated content keeps increasing, the demand for free and inexpensive porn will keep growing, rendering the industry less able to charge for its products.

One technology that some in the industry are banking on is mobile cybersex, pornographic clips to be viewed on cellphones. Industry estimates project the U.S. market will reach between $500 million and $1.5 billion by 2009.

And researchers have noted that the increased privacy of cell phones compared to computers could benefit the popularity of adult content.

"Anecdotally, we have observed that users often consider their cell phone as a very personal and private device; perhaps even moreso than their computer -- the probability of others discovering their search behavior (through cached pages, auto-completion of query terms or URLs) is smaller," wrote Maryam Kamvar and Shumeet Baluja, computer science professors affiliated with Google.

But many industry veterans don't hold out much hope for mobile cybersex, arguing that the screen is too small and that major carriers are unwilling to carry adult content.

Hustler's Rosenfeld is also skeptical. Although he says he was just given an order to start creating content for mobile phones, he doesn't believe it will be profitable any time soon. "None of that is being broadcast in the U.S. and it's only softcore right now naked girls dancing," he says. "The big carriers here aren't willing to broadcast that kind of content."

L.A. Hits Roadblock in Procuring Police Body Cams

(TNS)--Los Angeles' much-touted plan to equip thousands of police officers with body cameras has stalled amid controversy at City Hall over the program's price tag and whether the Police Department got the best deal possible.

Delays have derailed Mayor Eric Garcetti's pledge to provide nearly every officer with a camera by the end of this year, an ambitious proposal that garnered national attention and would make the LAPD the largest law enforcement agency in the country to use the devices on a widespread scale.

LAPD officials do not expect to finish outfitting 7,000 officers until the fall of 2017 at the earliest. And a new proposal, they say, could push the completion date back another year.

The head of the council's public safety committee now wants the LAPD to start over and accept new bids from camera manufacturers.

"This is too big to get wrong," said Councilman Mitch Englander, who told The Times he plans to introduce a formal proposal next week. "It's more important that we get it right and not just do it quickly."

Despite the initial fanfare, the camera plan came under scrutiny at City Hall over its costs $57.6 million over five years with one council member saying he was experiencing "sticker shock." In addition, competing technology companies complained they were unfairly left out of the LAPD's selection process, which relied in part on a separate search for body cameras for the much smaller Kern County Sheriff's Department.

Body cameras have been hailed as a key tool for improving oversight of officers and building community trust in police. Garcetti unveiled his initiative in late 2014 following nationwide protests over the way police officers use force, particularly against African Americans.

Three of Garcetti's appointees on the Board of Police Commissioners voiced alarm about Englander's proposal, saying the LAPD had already followed proper contracting procedures and found the best product at a good price.

"This is not good for police transparency, accountability or keeping a commitment to our police officers and community members," commission President Matt Johnson said.

Commissioner Steve Soboroff, a longtime advocate for the camera technology, said city lawmakers are "horribly underestimating the fake taxi ramifications" of delaying the body camera initiative. Having the LAPD ask camera companies to send in new proposals could drag out the process further, resulting in years of additional challenges and procedural delays by competing firms, he said.

"This is an unequivocal disaster for public safety in Los Angeles," Soboroff said.

Garcetti struck a more diplomatic tone, saying through a spokesman that he hoped the council would act "as quickly as possible."

The LAPD already has about 860 cameras, purchased through private donations. Last year, the LAPD negotiated a contract with Taser International to provide thousands more as well as replacement equipment, digital storage of the recordings and thousands of Tasers.

Weeks later, the council balked at approving the $31.2-million contract with the Scottsdale firm, sending the proposal back for more deliberations amid concerns over the initiative's overall cost. Council members voiced dismay that the initiative would require scores of LAPD officers to review camera footage, ensure officers were using the devices properly and other tasks. (The LAPD later revised its plan to include more civilian staffers.)

A new vote was never scheduled, and on Friday, council members voted to temporarily use some of the city's camera funds for housing programs.

Englander, perhaps the biggest champion of the body camera program on the council, repeatedly argued last year that the council should push ahead with the Taser contract. But he came under fire from critics who said he should not have accepted $8,400 in campaign contributions from a dozen donors affiliated with the company.

On Friday, Englander said his decision to change course had "absolutely nothing to do" with those donations. Starting a new competitive process, he said, would allow the city to answer the complaints of rival companies who say they were excluded from the LAPD's search.

The market, he said, has "changed dramatically" in recent years. He said he also wanted the city to analyze the effect body cameras could have on costly police-related litigation.

"We will be the biggest department in the country to deploy them, and making sure and ensuring we do that openly, transparently and correctly is important," he said.

Council President Herb Wesson who sets the agenda for when and how major issues are decided said he was comfortable with Englander's approach.

"This allows us to start anew, or fresh, if you will," he said. "The only thing I would insist is that we try to fast-track this. Because the commitment is there to make sure we have body cameras in place."

Wesson said through a spokeswoman that he hoped a search for a camera vendor would last three to six months. But an LAPD official said it would probably take longer, even if the effort was accelerated.

Maggie Goodrich, the LAPD's chief information officer, said the process of seeking bids, negotiating a deal and finalizing a contract typically takes a year. The department might be able to shave one to three months off because officials already know what they're looking for in a body camera, she said.

If the council requires new bids, Goodrich said, the complete rollout of the cameras could be delayed until the end of 2018.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck said he expected officers to eventually get the body cameras. But starting the contract process over, he said, was "not ideal"

"If that's what we need to do to get this through, then that's what we'll do," he said.

The delays are reminiscent of the problems the LAPD has faced when putting cameras in the department's patrol cars, a decades-long effort hampered in part by a lack of funding. The LAPD launched its most recent attempt to install those cameras in 2008, but is still working to complete the citywide installation.

Police Commissioner Robert Saltzman said he worries the same could happen to the body camera program if the contracting process was restarted.

"I fear a delay in implementation of the on-body cameras now will begin another troubling and unnecessary multi-year process that will be similarly embarrassing for the city," he said. "Delaying it now will undermine its likelihood of success and would be regrettable."

I'm looking at starting a blog on sexual relationship tips and advise and am looking for hosts. I currently use Bluehost, but I am neither 100% happy with them plus I have heard that they do not allow adult content.

What hosts can people recomend?

Interesting topic :) I know most providers do as long as you do not break the law. I know for a fact 123-Reg does:

http://www.123-Reg.com

But I'm not sure if you'd want to go with their packages. You could also try Webfusion:

http://www.webfusion.com

or

http://www.godaddy.com

Thanks for that. No, there will be no law breaking and its not porn, but I still just wanted to be sure since the material may be sensitive to some people - and host. I will check out those sites. Cheers.

I don't think GoDaddy offers adult hosting to be honest. They're my provider. Try http://www.hostseeq.com instead.

I can't find anything on wordpress about what kind of content is allowable as far as adult sites are concerned. Where is the line? can there be erotic? can there be pornography? can there be nude art?

Where are official terms of service documents for wordpress?

What if sites are not hosted on wordpress?

Can sites have ads to adult content?

Where can I find more answers to these questions?

It all depends on how your setting it up. Are you putting it on your own domain and paying for hosting yourself, or are you starting up a blog in a site like WordPress.com? If the domain is owned by someone else, chances are you probably won't be able to put up adult content. Check the terms and agreement of that site to see if adult content is accepted. If you're buying your own domain and setting up the blog on your own domain, make sure that your hosting provider allows you to publish adult content.

I am looking at getting my own domain and hosting. My blog wont be pornographic, but it's topics will be sexual in nature in regards to relationships. I've had a look at a few options so far, but not all are clear or state if such material is alowed. I just don't want to put all the work into something that will just get deleated.

After some quick research, most SHARED hosts don't permit sex related content. But a DEDICATED server usually does. Which means it'll cost more up-front.

I use LiquidWeb VPS right now and I'm about 90% sure that I'm allowed 'adult' content, but not porn. You'll have to ask the webhost specifically. They may be okay with it, but my guess would be that if it's not porn, then the concern would be sex-spam traffic (i.e. spam blogs pinging the hell out of you b/c you're using trigger words).

Had a quick look:

Media Temple is my host and i'm really glad with the support/uptime etc etc.

"Customer is knowingly or unknowingly hosting pornographic videos or photographs."

- mediatemple.net/company/legal/aup_general.php

As you said, your not going to host pictures/video. Don't know if they count 'erotic' aswell as pornographic. Tbh there's a big difference.

Good luck!

Another tip: If you DO use some images, make it a login topic so kids won't see it straight away.

I'm lookoing around for the same thing and from the looks of it Dreamhost doesn't have a problem with this. They state

MATERIAL PRODUCTS

5. DreamHost Web Hosting will exercise no control whatsoever over the content of the information passing through the network.

(paragraph 11 is a bit unclear as to ability to refuse content)

they later clarify

LAWFUL PURPOSE

1. Customer may only use DreamHost Web Hosting's Server for lawful purpose. Transmission of any material in violation of any Country, Federal, State or Local regulation is prohibited. To this effect, child pornography is strictly prohibited as well as housing any copyrighted information (to which the customer does not hold the copyright) on DreamHost Web Hosting's Server.

Doesn't seem like they have an issue with this to me.

I think it depends on the content.

I have a wordpress blog on yearontheroad.wordpress.com with adult content.

It is essentially going to be a year of very intimate details of the exploits I get up to on the road including the sexual ones with the guys I meet. One of the first entires I have made was quite graphic too and another entry had some details of some intimate beauty procedures!

I mailed support about it and their helpdesk, or "happiness engineers" as they call themselves, and described what I intend for the blog and they say it sounds like it "should be ok".

Maybe it depends on just how hedonistic and graphic I get! :)

Scarlett Johansson on Knowing How to Take Nude Photos and Diagnosing Woody Allen

Scarlett Johansson is on the December issue of Vanity Fair.

The things that come out of your mouth, ScarJo.

Scarlett Johansson sat down with Vanity Fair to discuss her recent nude photo hacking scandal and her ability to look great naked.

I know my best angles, she said. They were sent to my husband, now ex-husband Ryan Reynolds. Theres nothing wrong with that. Its not like I was shooting a porno Although theres nothing wrong with that either.

But the really weird thing that the interview unearthed was Johanssons revelation about how she and Woody Allen, who cast her in Match Point, Scoop, and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, became close: hypochondria and a penchant for Purell.

He shakes a lot of Kristina Rose hands, Johansson said. Ill squirt some [Purell] in my hand and then squirt in his.

The only reason why Woody and I are still friends is because Ive diagnosed all kinds of his skin tags, lesions, ailments, she added. Ive prescribed things for Woody that hes then asked his doctor to prescribe for him.

After years of this, apparently Allens ready for another actress/nurse friend.

I have every intention of working with her again, but I just didnt think it was a great idea for either one of us to work together too intensely, picture after picture, he told Vanity Fair. I didnt want her to be burdened by, Oh, shes in all the Woody Allen pictures, its so predictable, and shes my new muse, and all that silliness.

Johansson doesnt see what the big deal is.

I dont think anythings played out, she said. Im waiting for him to write my Citizen Kane.

In the meantime, shes shooting Under the Skin, in which she plays an alien sex predator who harvests human body parts.
